"Don't walk into a place, and act like you own it. Instead, walk into a place, and act like you don't give a fuck who owns it."
Terribly Beautiful
You look at the camera lens as if i am staring back at you smiling.
As if i have a secret, and you are dying to know.
Eye lashes flutter, lips full.
I have to wonder if you've done this for anyone else.
Captivated in your digitized eyes.
Brothers in Arms
A sudden turn of events visited with us recently. A flash flood of anger, fear, and hatred. I sat steadily, awaiting the arrival of an angry family. Sweat dripping palms clench the wheel. The butt of my smoke damp from holding it between my lips for so long. Entranced by what was to come, i could see but couldn't process anything other than my mind racing.
Behind me the family rolls up. Three cars deep we will ride. The adventure still marks my face. The story, its a fist fight.
I am one of three. One of three brothers birthed by the same mother, and father. Three who experianced hard times, durring even rougher times. Raised alike, yet differnt in every way. A history to be told another time. Needless to say, these brothers never stand alone.
The place is only 10 minets away, 3 miles. Its an unbarable distance to fathom when the feeling of needing to be at your location now is all you can ponder. We arrive, three cars deep.
"Wuz good nigga!" echos in the ally. Passerbyers, pedestrians, and civilains, all have no clue as to what this congregation is about. The anticipation subsiding as we have arrived to take our payment. I breath deep, and await the violence. Four to our six. An inevitable outcome in sight.
Words are exchanged, arms raised. Sticks in hand, belts n' buckles. Before we knew it, our number was matched. At a second glance, they had two for each of our one. We stood our ground. Blood, and revengeĀ are the currencys we seek.
Scattered accross parking lot of a corner store we faught. Stood our ground against several more. I break from one encounter to stand aside. Scanning the chaos that ensued. One brother, taking on three. His lady put a girl to her knees. Her cousins, knocking men down like bowling pins.
My last brother suckerd to the ground. Running to aid. The monkey on his back catches me running. Throwing a left and i duck to dodge. A quick thinking kick to the face, and im down. Catching me in the eye, i sit back stunned. My brother hits ground and makes for the pack picking off spares.
Faster than it began, we had left. Blue and white ride in with lights. The oposition crawling back home. As we escape back to our own.
